You amaze me all the time! Great shot with unbelievable clarity once again :D Look at that skin texture..amazing!
I think.. you better run now..he is gonna break the glass ;)
O_o crrrazy but cool photo !
Glad you said behind the glass. That is an awesome photo, such detail.
You got closer than I would want to, glass or not. Nice shot!
Wow...braver than me Lisa..good job!
Wow...braver than me Lisa..good job!
That is a heart stopper! Great job!
I am glad he is behind the glass!
Just spectacular! I love Macro Mondays!
I know you'll think I'm weird, but he's amazing!
I wouldn't want to be this close to him unless there was glass between us, but what a work of art.
Oooh looks like you could pluck each one of his scales off hes close.
Now that's a close up and personal perspective that I'll bet not many people have acquired before. The angle of the scales is great.
That is so beautiful, Lisa. The scales look almost feather-like.
That's one bad-attitude reptile!
Love that shot - the detail on the scales (scutes?) is excellent - I can almost feel the snake's texture all the way over here.
VERY COOL!!!! I'm surprised you did'nt lowcrawl in your backyard to find a wild one..:-)))
awwwwk! I'm assuming the shot is wonderful as always, but seeing it was a snake made me have to click off the page. *cowers behind door*
WOW! Even though I absolutely despise snakes, that is a really cool photo! I love the scales in the foreground! Great job!
Lisa, I'm not much of a snake fan, although black snakes and garden snakes around here are good snakes. Poison snakes, scary but on the other hand this guy is beautiful. His scales look like stiff feathers and he looks like he has a kind of armor on. To look at him behind glass, I could do that.
Beautiful picture!!!!

Ah geez that gave me the willys! LOL LOL I am soooo glad we dont have rattle snakes around here!
Absolutely awesome - a beautiful shot. I do like snakes but would avoid the rattler - grew up with them in Fla. But this shot is fantastic - such detail - and so clear you wouldn't know there was glass in the way. Your macro photography is amazing.

Yikes! I was afraid that's what it would be, but I'm glad you let us know it was behind glass!
You know, looking at the scale pattern up close kind of reminds me of chicken feathers! It's easy to see how chickens may have evolved from reptiles. The newly discovered miniature feathered dinosaur sure looked like a chicken fossil to me! Did you see it?
I nearly wet my pants, I looked so quick..I can't say if it was good or not..you are very brave. I would be able to do that ..even if there was a glass ..I am gutless when it comes to sssnakes:(
Wow, terrific..what a great shot of this guy! One of the things I miss while being on this Island is all the snakes, turtles and various cool creatures - nice post
Wow, great shot.
Beautiful shot. The texture is amazing.
Didn't post today, as I took hubby to hospital last night. He had emergency hernia surgery this morning. :(:(
I hate snakes, but a very nice picture! We don't have poisonous snakes here, thank goodness! I freak out over the harmless gardner snakes!
THAT is a work of art! Excellent job, outstanding depth of field, good color, WOW!
I'm so glad he was behind glass! Oh my gosh!!
Oh by the way, Viggo does have long hair again! I didn't seem him in person while he was here, but I saw his interview. He looked better than ever!
Super shot.. good thing your little chicks are no where near by!
He looks like he is puckering up!
OH...come ride with me this winter in the CA desert...you can ride Jesse and I will ride LL and MAYBE we will see a SNAKE!!!!!
Yikes! That one scared me!
Okay, I jumped out of my office chair! Yikes...that scared me and gave me chills!!!! Great shot though!
Brilliant shot Lisa, I love the fact that you captured the keels down the centre of each scale.
